Halifax,
N.S. - The bill may fall short of an all-out ban The Nova
Scotia government is getting ready to unveil its anti-smoking
legislation on Friday. The government has said the bill will
be the toughest in Canada. But, it appears it may fall short
of an all-out ban. Health Minister Jamie Muir is tight-lipped
about what the new bill will include, but he says if it doesn't
go far enough for some municipalities, they can introduce their
own legislation. Some communities in the Annapolis Valley have
already banned smoking in public, despite opposition from bar
and restaurant owners who are afraid of losing business.
