This Fireside Chat will engage participants in a conversation about why dental care doesn’t get its due in public health policy. We know the issue is often ignored by governments and the health policy community in general, but why is this the case?

Data will be presented on: the scope of oral health inequalities in Canada; the logic behind current dental care policy; how the public view oral heath and dental care from an equity perspective; and how dental care ranks among other uninsured services with respect to public preferences for governmental spending.
